Ummm, when i sent my original GSM compatible phone through the washer...i ended up buying a new one off of ebay. Said it was unlocked...so all i had to do was put in my SIMcard...but when i got it...it wasn't. So after a month of bullshit, and an extra $25 on a usb cable for it off ebay...i found a guy who wrote a program to unlock the **** thing. Now, it works great...and will work anywhere in the world.

So...i'd check ebay...and MAKE SURE it's unlocked. peace

you'll have to get a new one from your service provider with your "plan" and your phone number and shit on it. unless you want a totally new phone w/ new plan and shit...they have those on ebay as well. peace

Get a Motorola C333 ... Best ... Phone ... Ever ...

I have never been a fan of motorollas. They feel cheap to me. I have never looked at the C333 though. My Sanyo 8200 kicks ***.

i have the kyocera slider. It was fun at first but than after you play with them for awhile all you really need to do is make calls. The internet is a small added bonus though I guess, and BREW.

You wanna talk huge phone, you ever seen a Treo 270 opened? It is like 3.5" tall and opened that is 7" of phone covering your face. Not to mention that it is about 3" wide.

Motorola T720. I know of almost a dozen friends who have or had the T720, in GSM and CDMA flavor. So there's no shortage of accessories or parts between us all. That said, I really need a better phone... not to mention a service plan. But of course, the cheapest I can find is still going to require a $250 deposit. **** my credit rating.

If you want a used phone to use with an existing SIM go the eBay route.

If you want a new phone and new service provider then I would suggest amazon.com. Not only will amazon give you a rebate but the cell company usually does to. I have bought 2 phones from them and couldn't be happier.

The first a Nokia 3650 that I made $25.01 on.

My current phone is a Audiovox SMT-5600 (C500) and I paid 24.99 because I wouldn't sign a 2 year agreement.
