CDT HD-62CV vs. Kicker SS65.2?

which is the better overall set? The CDTs are the convertible kind that run cheaper than other HD-62s. So I am wondering if I will get better overall sound out of the kickers. Although I do like the image tweeter option on the CDT Xover. Since the mid is a convertable would it be better to just substitut it with an SSMB6 from kicker and keep the CDT Xover and tweet? or just replace all with kicker SS? or jsut keep the CDTs?

I know thats alot of questions, but I need help with this cause I havnt heard the Kickers.

also, the RMS on the CDTs is 80w, would 65w per channel be to little? otherwise I have to go up to 125w and that may be too high.

125w won't be too much if you SET THE GAINS properly. I've not personally listened to the Kickers, but have heard good things about them. I have the CV CDT's and really like them....get 1" tweets on the CDT's.

thats good to hear. what about 65w? would that be too litte (distortion) or just not as loud? my HU has 6.5v preouts to.

I haven't seen a CV HD, are you talking fo the EF or CL? I'm a dealer for CDT and haven't seen the HD CVs. But I would get the braxial mount instead of the CV. Also get the 1in tweet either tw-24 or drt-25. if interested PM me or check your PMs.

the HD CVs are a little older, they are the "convertable" type.
