Absolutely amazing, I had no idea what mid-bass really is and what a 6.5" speaker can do. The kick drum on "Hotel California" from the Hell Freezes Over CD has incredible impact. Listening to good vocals is great too, a real warm sound (Silent Lucidity by Queenesryche demonstrates this well.) Good jazz or good acoustic guitar sounds great too, I can hear the strings like I never had before. The stage is pretty good for door speakers in an S10, some songs I can pick out speaker location, but most songs sound like they are playing from the dash.
I have my outter doorskin, and both sides of my inner door skin sound deadened, including the speaker pod. I covered all of the holes in the door with plexi and then sound deadened over them. I also installed deflex pads behind the speakers. I'm running these off of an older lanzar opti200.2 I'm sure some of the great sound comes from the work I did above for the install, but these speakers just sing. They don't break up until they are past what I consider a tolerable volume level.
