So, how many EQ does the 9835 have? Could someone explain what the h701 does?
Reason I'm scouting a new HU is because my P7700 is only a 2volt affair and my AC EQL is static ridden (its mostly on flat anyway).
Here are the basic specs on the equipment you asked about. If you need other specs on other HU let me know I have a list of specs for most of the popular SQ decks, I created along time ago that I update periodically.
9835/9833
4 volt pre-outs
3-way capable
Slope: The slope for each filter can be set to 6, 12, 18, or 24dB/octave, or Flat
X-over 3-way Mode: LPF Variable 20-200Hz for the subwoofer outputs. HPF variable 1-20kHz for the high-range speakers. MID-LPF variable 20Hz-20kHz and variable HPF 20-200Hz. The level for each filter can be adjusted from 0 to -12dB.
5-band Digital Parametric EQ: You can select a frequency for each of the following bands in 1/3-octave increments: Band 1 (20Hz-160Hz), Band 2 (50Hz-400Hz), Band 3 (125Hz-1kHz), Band 4 (315Hz-8kHz), and Band 5 (800Hz-20kHz). Once a frequency is selected, you can adjust its level from -6dB to +6dB in 1dB increments. Adjustable Q for each frequency can be set to 1, 1.5, or 3.
7-band Graphic EQ: You can adjust each of 7 audio bands from -6dB to +6dB. You can set up to six user memories.
Subwoofer Level Control: Subwoofer preamp outputs can be adjusted from 00 to 15. Subwoofer Phase Selector: The phase of the subwoofer outputs may be set to normal (0 degrees) or reverse (180 degrees).
