swap ivaw200 for iva-310

I have the iva-w200, i am considering swapping for the iva-d310 has any one used both or used the 310 and has any comments, I love alpine and their screens so Its one or the other, Im just tired of my dash looking like crap due to my double din not fitting right and I would feel more secure about my deck if I had a flip out instead of a double din. So any comments or concerns about the 310...

I know the w200 is a double din and is an all in 1 and doesn't have a brain... does the 310 have a separate brain?

I just realized the ipod controls are worse with the 310...

I believe the 310 does have a separate brain. What vehicle do you have? I would think the W200 could be made to fit with a little determination. In my 04 Explorer, there was not a kit available when the W200 first came out, so I made one with ABS plastic. It wasn't very difficult. You could customize that to jsut about any size opening and secure the unit with metal strap or something.

Hmmm... I like the look of a double din much more than a flip out. I guess it's all a matter of opinion. Getting one over the other probably won't deter theft. You should take other actions to work against that. Good luck whatever you do.

I like the double din more, but a alpine flipout thats tucked in when the cars off looks cheap...

I dont know really. Im figuring it all out.
