cd won't play

Have a JVC that i have had in in my Jeep now for a couple of years. All of a sudden the cd player will not play. Accepts the cd, then ejects after about 10 seconds. Radio works fine. Looks like the cd stops spinning when it is inserted. Any tips or suggestions? The unit is a couple of years old, but never any problems before.

You can try a reset. It might not help, but it's worth a shot. Hold down the SEL, power and eject buttons at the same time.

Tried a reset first thing. No difference. Can the motor in teh unit all of a sudden wear out? Seems as if the motor slows down when disc is inserted, then only speeds up again to eject the disc.
