Can anyone suggest a good inexpensive cd player? Nothing fancy, just a good sounding player. Single or 5 disc is fine. I have been using a portable cd player hooked up to my receiver for the longest time and i wanna get something better. Around $150.

Yeah i want a deticated CD player so i dont have to have my TV on to use the CD portion of a DVD/CD player and see the track info and all that. Maybe its just the dvd player i have that the TV has to be on to see the track info and all that...

any suggestions and input is appreciated...

I'd recommend something by NAD, Arcam, Denon, Marantz, Cambridge Audio...I'm going to be looking around for something soon myself //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Out of all the players I have tried and listened to the Arcam CD Player is still my favorite. But I think it might be a bit out of his price range...

What about the Denon DCM-280...?
Denon builds a decent product, usually. Nothing really super fancy but ususally pretty solid. I don't know about that player in particular, but it has to be better than Sony....
