CD Player Cutting Off

My Sony CD Player m630 keeps cutting off around 55 - 60 %. The screen goes keeply black for like 5 seconds.

I was wondering if anyone had ideas why my cd player would do that.

try making a new ground for the cd player

Could be several issues. You may have a loose power or ground wire, or you could have a more serious electrical system charging issue.

Does just the CD player turn off and on or does it seem as if the electrical system of the car chokes? Do the settings on the CD player reset to their defaults?
