Causes of static?

I'm trying to install my new pro60s... everything has found its home (speakers/crossovers/amp, etc), but I am getting a ton of static.

My old set-up was simply a set of CDT CL-61s to the stock head unit/amp. The new set-up consists of a Kicker KX350.4 bridged to two channels, which are wired with a knukonceptz KOL-AK4 amp kit to the stock head-unit using a line output converter (whatever Best Buy sells) and fed to the pro60s. Oh and the car is a '93 Mitsu 3000GT, if that matters

Any ideas for some places to check? I had the help of a friend who works in mobile audio yesterday but am going to be by myself today, and have pretty much run out of ideas... any help would be appreciated, thanks

I just had the same problem about an hour ago. Try moving ur crossovers away from any wires. solved my problem.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
