Im pretty sure the voltage leads to the volt meter are ran off the front battery and not at the amps.. If it was at the amps Im pretty sure voltage drop would show quite a bit more. Thats just from my expierance, I have 2 meters, one for the front alts charge rate and one on the rear for the actual voltage at the amps.
