nope. It says 1600W RMS, but if you read the power handling chart on adireaudio.com, 800W is PLENTY to reach full excursion. You'd be surprised.

someone told me that 1000 watts is just good enough for the brahama....

when a buddy of mine and myself were goin to buy one ppl were asking me how many watts am i putting on it..... they said that 1000 is "just enough" to put on a 12

Yeah, that's not correct. You can easily reach max excursion with just 800W continuous. And all the Brahma drivers have the same engine, meaning they all max out at 1600W RMS. By the way, it's "Brahma" not "Brahama."

oh well I will just deal with the rough ass ride, it is so much smother with a few friends and a full tank
