The bit about the guy swearing it would beat a Corvette or even a Ferrarri was classic......I would have looked at his car while it was being crushed and looked back at him and said that a Power Wheels with a dead battery would likely smoke his car now...

My daughter would try.

Beetle, gear boxes swapped, dcm231 motors put in with traxxas billet pinion gears, rewired foot pedal switch through ford starter solenoid, pink neon under the dash, pulls the front wheels 3" off the ground in high gear from a start. More stuff to come.

lmao all those cars that were crushed were honda civics for the most part. . . .

they were probably the SLOW "race" cars that couldn't get away. . . im sure the camaro's and mustangs were fast enough to get away from the cops. . . the hondas however weren't so lucky.

ya i saw the link on another honda site... its not that far fetched for him to say he can beat vette's and porche's

i think he said he has a B20 in it, and considering he said he has upwards of 10k invested in it, i wouldent doubt it, also consider the weight to hp ratio, especially if it was the regular ole honda CX eg body... not my cop of tea to invest more in the engine than the actual car is worth, but i have friends that love to do it

For getting away from someone in a city, I would take a mildly fast civic over a mustang or camaro any day. They handle like butt on wheels. I know this for a fact.

well the story said the guys were pulled over for other reasons, like broken taillight, or no vehicle id sticker , and when the cops "investigated" they found stolen engine parts

and why would you run from the police in a car anyways? hmm, impounded car, which 50% of the time you pay a fine and get it back, or run, likely crash and kill yourself, or end up getting caught anyways and goto prison
