A bad punishment, but what is considered street racing. A pissed off cop can make anything called street racing, and have your car crushed.

Well if they take the car away, for good(which they can do) they can pretty mcuh do whatever the hell they want to it...

Well, if it has an illegal motorswap (as well as a multitude of parts deemed 'offroad use only'), then it is 100% at the discretion of the authorities whether or not to crush it. I looked into this particular type of situation when comtemplating a motor swap into my 240sx. But yeah, more often than not, the car is jsut impounded and given a fix-it ticket, but repeat offenders, or in areas that are really high on street racing, crushing an impounded car is pretty common.

actually theres quite a few street racers here in CA that are alot faster then corvettes and some ferraris.

waste of money, yea sure, but so is our car audio to some.
