carpeting the box

just wondering what the difference would be if you carpeted a box, or if u didnt and just painted it..

does the carpet affect the sound at all?

I think the carpeting looks better. Paint shows any and all flaws.

Not if you spend a little time prepping and use a textured paint like fleck stone or hammertone....
