Caribbean Cruise over Thanksgiving week

I ended up going with option 1 with NCL aboard the Pearl. I wanted the RCCL option on Independence but they sold out of the 399 option Thursday night and the only options left were 200 more per person. Figured we could put the extra $400 bucks towards drinks and shore activities to make up any deficiencies/difference in boats.

So we'l be in Roatan Honduras, Belize City Belize, Cozumel Mexico, and a private island in the bahamas.

Go first class all the way. Don't settle for anything. Do and have the best. It's supposed to be a vaction, enjoy it. Get the nice room and drink the good shit. Have a blast. Takes more money but it's worth it imo.

Typically I would agree but I'm from Florida so the beaches and hotel scene I have been there and done that. I want to go to Utah or Breck Colorado next Feb so I'll save my money and put it towards that.

We leave tomorrow woot woot

doing snorkeling at the reefs in Roatan, Cavetubbing/Zipline tour in Belize, and an all inclusive resort / snorkeling at Palancar in Cozumel.

What a way to spend Thanksgiving week : - )

Make sure you do cave-tubing in Belize, I heard it's awesome. If it rains the day before though you are going to be sliding/falling in mud for a couple miles until you get to the place where you actually go tubing.

Snorkeling probably won't be all that great in Cozumel, but it should be SICK in Honduras. Have fun. My mom's a travel agent, so we go on a million cruises.

Yeah, the cavetubbing and zipline are in Belize using Major Tom's excursion. Honduras is supposed to be out of this world, actually going to a private island made on a reef. The reef is in about 5-10 feet of water so should be exceptional.

Man I hope you wrong about Cozumel, I know the shore snorkeling is supposed to **** but I'm paying for a boat excursion. From what I've read the palancar reef is supposed to be one of the best in the world. If it's overrated then I'll skip spending the extra $$ and just drink at the beach.

I've been snorkeling in Cozumel 3-4 different places, none of which really stand out from what I remember. All but one time were shore-snorkeling, which could be why. I never went to the Palancar reef, so hopefully it is awesome.

Actually, I am going on a cruise in December that stops in Cozumel, so let me know how that reef is. If the reviews are good, it should be sweet. Have fun!

Do any of you guys know if you need your passport if you are not traveling outside of US waters? I don't want to have to spend 250 smacks for ours right now if I don't have too.

I heard that you won't have to till June 9th or something like that. Just wondering if anybody else may know.

You WERE supposed to have it, but they keep changing it. I'd get it anyway. Or you can opt for a seapass, it's like a passport but formed like a credit card. You can use it by sea or land. But not through the air.
A seapass........might check into that.

I will eventually get one. I mean I have the money for it, just don't feel the need to spend 250 on them as we never travel outside the US. I could see if we had trips lined up or thought about going over seas somewhere, but we don't. So that plays a factor as much as the money does, just kinda pointless.

I did hear they are trying to move it back up, which will force me to pay into it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Hell 250 was 1/4 of what I just sold my system for, so a nice chunk of change.....as I have gotten tight with my money.

do #5!!! i went on that exact same route and ship over the summer and i had a blast

edit: ahh **** i just read it and you went with #1...hope you have a good time
