Caribbean Cruise over Thanksgiving week

Alcohol, soda refreshments, ice cream, tips, clothes, jewelry, items from the shop ect.. all must be paid. Activities like tours & stuff you do @ the destinations? Yes you have to pay for those.
I've read that Water, Tea, Lemonade are all free and you can buy a Soda card for $2.50 per person per day.

All main activites on board are included. The food all food is included main dinner hall breakfast lunch and everything else. I do know that on Adventure of the Seas there were two restaurants that cost money Johnny Rockets and some fancy place. Oh and they had a pizza bar that was open 24/7 i spent a lot of time there!!!

I mean for the food, is it like a long airplane trip, where you have a limited selection of what to eat, but that is included in the price?
As for activities, I mean like, the rock climbing, wave surf thing, the main activities that are on board...
most of it is free, it's like a giant floating hotel combined with a theme park, that offers a giant gourmet all you can eat buffet. The pizza & hamburger bars are open 24/7. All FREE!

I took a look at the selections and they have like 10 different themed restaraunt, while most are free some have 10-15 fee for some of the fancier restaraunt. The main dining room is free and they have a lobster night!

Mike for the formal nights would I have to wear a suit or is a dress shirt/tie/pants sufficient?

dress shirt and tie is sufficient for captains night, actually you dont even need tie.

I wore khaki and polo shirt when I did it.

I went on carnival like 10 times, and took that exact cruise your taking about 4 years ago. all the destinations were nice.

also if you end up on carnival, when you FIRST get on board get a soda club card, that way you can get softdrinks for free over the whole week. Card is like $20 but well worth it to keep from drinking juice for all week.

You will be fine with just that I remember some people wearing just casual cloths they didnt kick them out or anything. Might just want to bring some fancy cloths just in case you eat with the captain. The food=FTW!! I dont believe i've eaten so much food in one week. God i want to go back right now.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Royal caribbean is the bomb.

I've been on mariner and adventure of the seas (sister ships). I would love to get on one of the bigger ships like independence or the NEW $1.2 billion one that's being launched next year. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

To put it into perspective, the new one is 222,900 tons versus the independence's 160,000! Ridiculous.

Christ that is huge, I wonder if that's going to be an intercontinental ship (e.g. Europe -> Asia or North America).
