I wanted to see if anyone has every done anything with carbon fiber cloth.. I got like 3 rolls about 6 months ago and Epoxy Resin 2:1.. Now I want to do something simple, any one ever used this before and if so any tips or know of any videos would be great.. Want to try it out..

I have some like this in blue, yellow, red and black. http://cgi.ebay.com/Carbon-Fiber-Cloth-Fabric-Blue-Twill-50-purchase-yds_W0QQitemZ110375299077QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item110375299077&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50

Might make some dustcaps or something but not sure what else I need, thought that might be something simple to start with..

btw, take a look at that sellers store, he has EVERYTHING to do carbon moulds/vacuming yourself, decent prices to. Seriously considerring buy some of the carbon

Think you could put spray glue on the back of that and not have it leak/absorb to the other side?

there is a build log for a big *** orange toyota pickup. that guy was covering everything in that...lots of info on how well it worked and tips on resin to hardener. look in the build log section

I hope you like sanding because it takes alot to get it smooth and looking good. This thread should tell you anything you need to know about wrapping stuff with carbonfiber. http://www.talkaudio.co.uk/vbb/showthread.php?t=217708

You cant just wrap stuff in the cloth, you need to coat it with the resin too.
