Car Audio System

I guess it would depend if you actually get both mags and both amps and if your gona run 1000watts into them 24/7 or in other words are you gona crank it all up and keep it cranked or are u just crank it at shows and have it tuned down during your a-b driving? if you keep it tuned town you dont need an extra battery unless you plan on up-gradeing your mids and highs and adding more power to them as well, then a second battery wouldnt be a bad idea.

Plus those Mags can handle a 1000watts each too and the Sundown amps can handle giving it. That Altima has a good powerplant so I wouldnt worry about it for right now.

u should know how big your alt is in your car.. that is a good start and i would look to get a good battery for upfront.. it all goes hand and hand. extra batterys bigger power/ground wires. extra runs etc.. u gota keep lookin around know how much room u have and check out some otheres set ups.. watch vids and go to some local shops. but dont let them sell u anything i mean nothing just go get some ideas look to see if they have any build logs to see what kind of work they do ...

You dont really need 2 AMPs if you have 2 subs, What you need is to have the power that the sub will take, that is if you want the sub to use all the power they can handle. ie 1 Mag v4 will handle 1000watts, u get 2 you should have a 2000 watt amp or get 2 1000watt amps.

The ohms of the voice coils on the subs affect what kind of a load you can use on your amp. If you have 2 dual 2 ohm subs you can wire in a .5, 2, or 8 ohm load. If you wire 2 dual 4 ohms subs you can wire in a 1 or 4 ohm load.

You can get many different wiring diagrams on the net that will help you out with what ohms you need to get for you sub and amp combo. For every half of an ohm load, you double or half the power. ex. 4ohms 100 watts, 2ohms 200 watts, 1ohm 400 watts.

If it was me... Instead of jumping right in with the "best" expensive stuff. I would start small. And have something to learn on and play with while I researched. Get a good head unit, run some 0 gauge wires then get a cheap amp and subs in a pre-fab. Learn on it and not some expensive amps and speakers. It's not a good feeling when you watch smoke coming out of your pride and joy amp and you have your expensive subs froze up so tight you can stand on them and not break them free.

As far as Kicker being the best... I've only seen one guy around here do good with them in competitions. Thats not a very good track record because a lot of people are running them.
