1 farad per 1000watts RMS of power is the rule of thumb.

Buy the cheapest round one you can find, they all work the same.

capacitors are worthless.. for stiffening puposes.

To make this brief.. Capacitors as a whole do not accomplish much. They are a band-aid for your electrical system.. if you are having low voltage issues (lights dimming, or popping fuses) Then it may help some. If it is the extra power for that one or two short bass hits then you then you are looking for a cap to do what it is supposed to do. Beyond that a bigger alt and better cables plus the big three ( do a search for that) will do far more good that a cap andd only cost a little more for a much better gain.
