capacitor vs aftermarket bat???

You dont need a battery per amp and you shouldnt even bother with caps... What sort of power and car?

How big is your amp? Id never use a capacitor... just go with the second battery if youre having voltage problems

its and 01 GMC ext cab and its 2 mr m2000 alpine amps and i have used a cap didnt see much of a diff but helped out a little

Youll need to do big 3 and then get a couple big batts

Youre going to be drawing 400 amps from those two amps. Id upgrade your alternator before anything else.

cool thanks i have all the components i just waited to ask people who know their talking about and to make sure i dont kill my truck before anything elsebut question still stands...wat kind of big bats cus i wanted to get a optima for the main one in front but which in the back??

you want an Absorbed Glass Matt (AGM) battery. there are many to choose from, just search this forum for "AGM Battery".

get one that is made to fit up front, and another equal one for the rear. fuse every wire connected to a positive terminal within 8 inches of the terminal, including the wire that connects the two batteries. ground everything to the frame/floor with bolts. use 1/0 wire minimum, maybe two 1/0 from front to back.

install a volt meter at the dash and monitor voltage. you want to be above 13.5 while the car is on, system on. the engine RPM's may need to stay above 2000 RPM to accomplish that.

yea i was planing on running nuthing but 0 and looked into the metter but wasnt sure if i needed one. but i also wanted to run a amp just for the door speakers will that affect it or will i have to add another thing into the mix??

I like to run two volt meters, one at the alt and another at the amps...just to monitor what's going on and make sure everything is ok. When running a high power setup with a lot of wires and such, you can never be too careful. And dual meters is just an easy way to make sure you're not losing voltage or have something disconnected.

yea this is gona take time cus i dont like rushing things but ill start with the big 3 then alt then batt and watever is after that but thanks for all the help u guys really apreciate it ill post pics up on how it looks like wen im done itll take a long time tho cus i only have some of the parts and not enough money
