Click to expand... you can put it anywhere you want to get the voltage read out from that area: before the battery, after the amp, at the amp ect...

If you spend the extra to get the Stinger Volt Meter it has 3 wires. 1 of the wires is ran to the amps and that is where it pulls the volt info from. I bought one of the cheaper ebay meters. I have a relay triggered from my remote wire to turn on the multiple amps I have. It gets its power from the amp dis block. I ran a wire to the relay so now my cheap ebay meter only comes on when my stereo is on and reads the voltage right at the amps. works good.
I think monitoring the voltage at the amp is the best info to have. If you spend the extra to get the Stinger Volt Meter it has 3 wires. 1 of the wires is ran to the amps and that is where it pulls the volt info from. I bought one of the cheaper ebay meters. I ran a wire to the relay so now my cheap ebay meter only comes on when my stereo is on and reads the voltage right at the amps. works good.
