Hello everyone, I have tried to figure this out and asked some good friends... I have some detailed instructions of what I am running and how I ran my wires.
First off I am running an Audioque hdc3 10"
and
Audiopipe 1500 monoblock amp at 1 ohm
The first thing I did during installation was removed my negative battery connection to kill all power. then I went ahead and added the ground wire to the same spot my amp is grounded for the capacitors ground. Then I hooked the ground to the - side of the capacitor. Disconnected the amps power wire, Cut it, added ring terminals on each end... I then made sure all wires were away from each other so they wont touch. Went to the back (battery in trunk) and hooked my battery ground back up. Came up front and used the + wire from the battery through a resistor to (charge) the cap. I waited until it reads 12V and took them both away... And the Voltage starts to diminish until it says (Lo voltage) I tried again... and the same thing happened... So I went ahead and unhooked my negative from my battery. Hooked the positives up on the capacitor. Hooked my batter ground back up. Pop. Pop. Pop, sparks, and the fuse blew... (100amp) So I replaced it... And now everything plays just fine but the cap is not working?
Thanks guys! Hope this crazy thing can be solved!
