capacitor installed display always on

well i got a cap installed a tsunami 1.2 farad and the digital display stays on all the time even with the car off. i called circuit city and they said it was normal for it that it was constant 12 volt, wouldnt drain my battery and the lights dim when i turn the radio up when i listen to a song with bass does taht mean all i have to fo is charge the capacitor cause i didnt do any where after the store, i just wanted to get an 2nd opinion.

i myself have been thinkin about getting a cap. My lights dim the slightest bit on bass notes but it could be my battery (cheap budget battery). Been thinking about getting a new alternator as well but theres the money situation at hand.

the display on the capacitor turns off now when the car is off it stays onh for a couple minutes then it turns off, so i think that it was jsut charging before. go to my cardomain page to see pics of how it is installed

it does that do it doesnt have to keep turning off and back on any time theres a pause in the music... it senses power going through the wire and it has a timeout time for it to turn off..

oh ok i got it now. my powered sub for my home steros does that when i turn it on the sub will come on if something that has bass is on and of im watching tv at night and the volume is low it will turn off by itself and it does that too when i turn the reciever off. i just wish that my car system was as good a my home system
