You'd have to give us model numbers of what you are looking at. in general though, Power Acoustik, Precision Power, and HiFonics make solid amps. a little overrated maybe but solid amps that do close to the rated power for a "bang for the buck" price.

Soundstream's older amps (rubicon / reference) were pretty well built to. But I haven't even seen some of the new amps. The Van Gohs are supposed to be pretty good but couldnt tell you about any of the other models.

out of the ones you listed i would say the rockford. a lot of people hate them because they are so mainstreem, but i did like there power series amps from the past couple years. don't know about the current ones. rf amps have always been underrated as well.

what ohm load do you need and what's your budget? the hifonics bx1000D will not put out 1000 watts rms, but the bx1500D will if you were looking to go hifonics. my old rf 1001bd was pretty solid. benched at 1100 watts rms at 2 ohms.

Power Acoustik is more overrated than anything. I'm really starting to get my doubts about my sub amp. I wish I could test it. It's tough and durable, no heating problems whatsoever, but ****, for a amp rated 600 watts at 4 ohms barely moving my 187s wired at 2 ohm and gain happy at the same time, something is a miss.

EDIT: It's an unfair assessment, I know, a million factors come into play.

i like rf, my old rf 401s (400x1 @4 ohms) birthsheet said it put out 435 wattsat 4 ohms, i like my hifonics too.......
