Cant handle daily/weekly stress... :(

If it is really bad I usually take a drive. Listening to music helps me a lot. I know when I was super stressed I picked up a smoking habit. That is long gone now.

 
I guess people are a lot different with these kinds of things. I quit drinking, smoking, dipping and chewing tobacco cold turkey (at different times) and never had the urge to go back to any of them.

 
I stopped smoking weed and I would say that the hard part about that is just finding something else to do that makes you happy and relieves stress. For me it wasn't really hard to stop just what to do after that. Never smoked a cigarette though nor dipped and I don't really drink.

 
Exercising sucks but it does help a lot. I have a lot of anxiety and I find that anything except sitting on your *** thinking about it seems to help. It doesnt matter what it is, as long as its constructive. I clean the house/ garage, build boxes, do maintenence on my ride, mess with my reef tanks, just anything to be semi-active.

Giving in to addictions leads to guilty feelings and that just creates a cycle. Just my $.02

I semi-agree. I tried to stop a few days before my "last dip" that i am counting and "relapsed." I kind of look at it as anything is a good thing as long as i dont use MORE often. I bought a can like the 2nd day, but didnt get one. After day 3 i finally got one because i was thinking of just finishing the can and then finally "quitting." Since i have a can here it is sometimes tempting but for the most part i dont really want one.

 
Well I used to smoke pot Daily (~3 years clean), and I know what you mean. Now at the time and currently Im not the most stressed person but I know the feeling. I find doing something you like helps alot. Maybe you cant work on CA all the time but I find If I start building mental stereo's in my head it calms me down. Try doing that. sunflower seeds...seriously
ill probably do that or i have come fond of Altoids. Altoids dont require any spitting so i dont have to make a habit of carrying a bottle with me. I think if i quit dipping i would rather quit the habit of spitting as well. It's just not appealing.

holy crap....i thought i was the only one that used those too....the trick is you have to get the ones with shells so you pop a bunch in your mouth but then you keep your hands busy spittin out shells. got to replace the hand to mouth habit with something besides cigs and dip

 
hmm get in the car and listen to "comfort zone" music. go thru the country and get away from ppl and stressors

i like playing video games online w. friends. u will never think of anything else besides the game

read a book!!! (quite underrated in todays society)
