Can't get to some edges of my box, leave without silicon?

I'm building a slot port box for the first time and I'm having trouble with something (actually a couple things, but one in particular), I don't see how I can seal all of the edges on my box. Once everything is put together the edges that are behind the port walls will be impossible to reach, what should I do?

you can silicon the outside and let it be ugly or spread some filler into the cracks and sand it off so that it is only in the cracks and not on the outside of the wood

as long as the glue job is good, i say one side of silicone is fine

You think if all of the joints fit perfectly they will be airtight? Because they will all be perfect.

Good call on the filler, that would work, I really don't care what it looks like 'cause it will be carpeted.

maybe put a little bead of silicone around the inside edge of the piece of wood before you put the piece on?

i do a little trick befor i put the top of a box on. on the inside edges of teh box sides i lay a bead of silicone then on the outside edge i lay a bead of wood glue. then i put teh top on. the silicone seals the inside and teh wood glue, glues the wood together.

somthing like that.

When you cut the hole(s) for the subwoofer(s) you can usually get to all the necessary seams.

what I would do is lay 45s on before I mount the top and use glue on the regular piece but silicone on the 45 top so when you lay it down the 45 is stuck with silicone //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif If your going for airtight that hardcore you might as well use 45s too.
