ive got a memphis PRD1000.1 amp. i hooked it up to an old 8 gauge wire kit just to test it out, and it worked fine. A week later i got my new 4 gauge memphis wire kit, and hooked it up. i didnt have my fuse put together, so i just touched the 2 pwr wires together to get a signal, and my amp turned on just fine. i turned off my car, and unhooked the pwr wires. Then i hooked up my subs to the amp, and put my fuse together. I turned my amp back on and i got no power, no lights turned on or nuthin, I went to turn on my car to see if that was the prob, and it didnt start, i jumped my car and it started fine then. I let it run for 5 minutes, shut it off, and turned it on again, and now my car works fine, only thing is that my amp still doesnt turn on, could this have ne thing to do with my fuse being assembled incorrectly? i checked and my ground wire, remote wire, and rca's and they are all hooked up securly. i also checked to make sure the fuses in my amp werent blown, and they are fine. My head unit turns on fine also. Anyone with a thought on this or be able to help me?
