Cant find a bigger alt for my vehicle :(

No upgrades as of yet. My system isn't even in my truck yet. I'm looking around to see what I do need to upgrade before it all goes in. Of course I will do the big 3, and I will have a kinetic Hc600 in the cab of my truck, and will upgrade my under the hood battery if needed
you should be ok with the big 3 and the batt upgrades.

from what i can tell that is just a voltage booster, basically the same thing as adding an external regulator, but it cant be adjusted.

100 amps is still only a 100 amps. having it at 15v just gives it farther to drop.

this same thing has been brought up around here. ill link them if i can find them.

and if it does cover drop its more than likely a bandaid.

and even in the thread you mentioned. the guy that posted it up was still buying a high output alt. (post #6 to be exact)

also says in his sig 250 amp alt

if that really worked like your wanting to say his alt would still be stock..

So you believe just the big 3 and a descent under hood battery will be ok?
ive ran well more than that with the same on a 80 amp alt and was able to not kill it. you just cant play it all day long at idle.

You should be able to do a lot more with that alt...I have a 90a alt on an AQ2200 with minimal drop while driving, just a big 3 upgrade and I replaced the front battery with a batcap 2k look-a-like

he also says in the thread in post 13 that it does nothing for amperage (which is what i was figuring on).

100 amp alt wont run an amp capable of 6k for long no matter of the voltage.

and for the record, im not trying to get into a pissing contest, but i do love a good chat.

no problem.
it still wouldnt be a bad idea if you find a way to get 150-200 amps of alt at a good price (as long as its a quality alt) to snag it. will take a lot of the stress off of everything.
Yeh, I was looking for something in the 130-150A range but can't find anything to fit in my truck

You could probably get a new regulator for it. Theres a shop close by that does it. My uncle told me about it but i forgot the name. If you're interested let me know and i'll find out the name. if you change the reg you'll prolly be able to get it up to atleast 130 amps
