Cant find a battery

Alright, i need to find a top & side post battery. Ive found lots of them, but they are too large size wise for the compartment in my car. I dont have much room at all to do any modifications for a larger battery due to all the stuff around the battery.

Height - 6 15/16"'s

Length - 9 1/2"s

Width - 6 15/16"s

Ive checked optima's, die hard platinum's, remey etc. If you do find one, please either link me directly to it, or give me the model / item # so i can locate it on a site.

Also, everything i can find shows my factory alt. is 150amp. Is that sufficient for a 1000w rms system w/ max of 1500 with a big 3 upgrade and a new battery?

run the smallest yellowtop up front you can and a second larger one in the trunk that 150amp alt will do that fine charging them especially with only a 1000rms system.

Ive got a 2009 Ford Fusion 4cylinder w/ Sports Pkg. Under the hood i MUST have a top/side post battery. My factory battery will be the one to go to the trunk because its only top post which is fine for my trunk. Price id like to keep at or under $200'ish. The lower the cost the better but i dont want a junk Chinese battery lol.

a wetcell battery shouldn't ever go in the trunk if you can help it or the auto manufacturer didn't design it that way and they are not designed for car audio and it will be killed quickly!

So would i be better off just not putting the 2nd battery in the trunk? It was only going to be for a little extra juice (mounted on a wooden shelf of some sort of course)?

The reason i need to replace the battery under the hood for a top an side post is because i just have TOO many wires of 0awg running and i want to keep it looking clean. Ive got the entire car wired and ready for a battery, just havent found one yet //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

BTW, Cyn i appreciate the time in looking for some batteries, but none of them are both top & side post so they wouldnt work for me.

you can buy the adapters for them... that will give you a top post on the battery.. I think they are like 15-20$

I honestly never thought of an adapter. Does it like sit on the top post and bend down the side to provide the side post?

they have the ones that hook into the side post and come up over the top with a top post on them... also just look on sonicelectronics man or amazon for the battery.. took me 3 mins to find them... should be able to find one with both posts in about 30mins

Yes ive found tons of top&side post batteries, but all of the ones i did find were much larger than the measurements i had available to use.

all the ones i've posted are within the measurements man... you might have to deal with just either a top or side mounting battery..
