Can you wire speakers in parallel?

I think i already know the answer to this question, but can u wire two sets of speakers in parallel and use a Two channel amp to power all four speakers. It would be 2 sets of single voice coil 4 ohm speakers, which are kicker ssmb6 midbass and kicker ks65.2 component speakers. So i would wire each 4 ohm set down to a 2 ohm load to each channel.

yeah the amp i'm looking at is a hifonics zxi 4006 which is 200 watts rms x2 channels. my kicker ssmb6 handle 8-125 watts rms and the kicker ks65.2 handle 75 watts rms so i think it would be a good match up.

I'm thinking that since 2 of the 4 planned speakers to be driven by this amp are midbass drivers rather than fullrange the lack of processing is going to create issues.

Ergo ~ I'm thinking your plan isn't such a good idea...

Well the only time it would be good to do what you proposed is if you were running 2 mid woofers per side in your doors. If this is front/rear.... then go for a 4ch.

yeah, its front and middle. in the rear i have 4 inch speakers.
