Can you please offer some advice on what parts I will need to clean up my install?

GLAD TO see you are still rockin the passat.....are you moving the equipment around for this install or just cleaning up the wires? do the big three and some say batcaps are the way to go,i have one but its not installed yet.. and i have a optima red (but not for long)

and to ask about that grounding back to battery......isnt 17ft of ground worse then 18 inches of ground....im gonna search under your name for those threads thanks

If you were to do it in 1/0, I would guess in the ballpark of $150 to have the shop do it. A little less if you already have the wire.
The advantage of grounding back to the battery is that you are dealing with a known quantity. You know that your ground is of minimum resistance and is not causing excessive voltage drop and powre loss. There are a bunch of threads in here about it. I've provided some pretty lengthy explanations in most of them.

Hey, it's a fellow PassatWorld member!

I'm not really moving the gear around, but more or less just fixing up a really crappy install. I need to run all new wire and RCA's, remount the amps, put the Utopia crossovers into the trunk instead of the doors, adding the ID sub, etc.

I guess I am doing a bit of a move around. The PPI Ax400 will now be biamplifying the Utopias, a US Amps 400x will now power the RE-XXX mids, and the Orion will be put on the sub instead of the XXX mids.
