Can you bridge an amp with a blown channel?

I don't have the amp. I was going to buy an amp but the guy had it bridged. I asked to have it hooked to the two channels but he was pretty reluctant about it. He just stated that if a channel is blown, you can't bridge the two. I just wanted to verify the information.

bridging 2 channels involves using 2 (working) channels as one.

ask that guy, if both channels are blown.. can you bridge both of them to work? just for kicks.

most class ab amps use an inverted output. when bridging you use the + from 1 channel & the - of the other channel. that sums the power from both channels. i am pretty sure that it will not work bridged if 1 channel is blown.

gawd you're an idiot
both for trying this and bringing this thread back.
I didn't know i had a blown channel, i diagnosed it when the sound coming out my speakers sounded like dookie.

Excuse me for bringing an answer to a thread that didn't have one. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif I found it by searching for a problem with my amp, figured someone else might uncover it searching and there's now an answer to the question.
