can you believe

Yehhh...they leak air..........out the opening of the design.....it acts like a bigggg 4th order in some way...i dont know the dynamics of it but it gets the job done
Why would any of them go ported when they are doing 160s on music daily?

Less strain on equipment for the most part.......Tommy is an exception.....more subs less watts per sub, play all day

4 12s and only 146?....ouch...i had 4 10s and did 149...and 147 with 1500watts
Got ya.

I remember back in the day when I had my Corrolla I was doing close to 150 off less than 1000rms on two Orion XTR's and Orion Cobalt amp, lol! Shit was one of the louder systems I have had to the ear anyway. Why, because of the acoustics of my car. Was a hatch that was built for a system. Kinda like a CRX is in a way. I miss that setup and pounding bigger numbers than guys running multiply subs and amps.

well i think it was subs wired wrong or somthing wrong with the box i dont think it was cancelation because for 2 subs to cancel each other the freq the subs are playing much fully develope and cross planes and it looks from the pics that subs are around 2 feet apart wich means he wouldnt get cancelation till around 55hz and even then with the cancelation the pressure should be rediculous

Looks like more show than Blow.........No one competes with sealed boxes anymore....do a quarter the amount of woofers and go ported.
People are doing these big sealed setups to mimic the designs of the past.

Lots of subs that can play all types of music all day long at stupid loud levels. It's not made for competing as it is for demoing purposes. And bassrace.

I'm not sure what your point is about telling people to do less subs in a ported box. That's been done as well. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Not that it is different, but more so because it works.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Of course it works, but not everyone wants the same setup.

You would change your tune if you heard the setups I heard at SBN. 157's in the 30-35 hz range is nothing to mess around with. Especially when they can sit there all day and beat on it.

I love small setups that do big scores as well, hell thats what I'm personally known for. But I love the big sealed setups too.

congrats, I never said they did not sound good.....most SPL ported boxes are tuned high and not really for daily listening anyways....I see your point I just think if his goal was numbers he went about it the wrong way, however if his goal was demoing and impressing the kiddies then he met his goals.

Thats exactly what his goals were. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

A loud *** groundpounder built for demos and bassracing.

Bassrace isn't about going as loud as you can possibly go, though if that setup doesn't eventually do at least the 149.9 class then if I was them I would just scrap the whole setup.
