No. But a line driver could be called a form of amplification I suppose, if we are going to get technical about your question.

Not really making sense but NO you can't. There is no way. You can "preamp" an amplifier but all that does it allow you to use less gain on the amp from a higher input voltage. You could wire them each and use the power from each but you cannot do what you're asking.

I think the reason he asks this is because with Citizens band radios, linear amplifiers can be used to "drive" each other. It's very similar to a line driver though.

'Preamp' usually refers to any device that exists before the amplification stage. A preamp does not have to be a device that amplifies the signal.
