i was wondering if i can use 2 different gauge wires. i was planning to do 8 ga for my speakers and speaker amp. then 4 ga for the subs and their amp. if so, should i use 4ga for the big3?

Why? Just use one size for all the power and ground. Use one size from the battery to a distro block and then to the amps. 0/2 is best for the big3

yeah it'll work, but that's not how i'd do it. I would just run 1 run of 1/0 and then get a distro block. that way you dont have to run diff wires later. just run off of the distro block.

Are you sayin' you're going to run 4guage wire from your subs to your amp? And then choose the appropriate size of wire for your amps.

Thats what i would do as well.

you can find a nice D-block on ebay for under 20 bucks make sure its like 0ga in and 2 4ga out.
