Can this 2ch amp do 8 ohms?

My friend just got a re sr 12 dual 4 sub and picked up a 2 channel Crunch P1100.2 2ch amplifier to go with it.

Bridged this amp can run 1000-1100rms(questionable) at 4 ohms. Could we wire his sub up to 8 ohms and use it safely on this amp at 500ish rms watts?

Good to go?
