Can these new Pioneer Premier spl handel 3k daily ??

Those will handle 1000RMS no problems sealed.

In a 1.2 net each ported box, they will also handle that power. If you plan to get a bigger box (1.6-2) I wouldn't recommend more than 800, they get stinky after 2-3 songs full tilt with 800 at 1.6cu ft box.

But they do hit the lows very hard, tuning around 36-38 will pound really low.

I would get them, but be very carefule with the gains.

I have the older w-250spl 10's, which are rated at 800rms and I give them about 850rms each and they get stinky from time to time, but still do well. They have been through 3 users and still sound fantastic. Box is 2.0cft ported at 35 and kill the lows! They are 10's to boot!

Doing 145.1 off the tl with them by the way.

I wouldn't put much more than 2k on a pair. They have decent thermal power handling, but you can easily cook the copper coils at 3k. 2.5k would be the MAX, in the right box, but I wouldn't risk it.

If you do overpower them, I'd go sealed (3cf-ish), to keep them moving and support the suspension a little.

As BigBang alluded to, the coils will get smelly long before they burn, so start low and work up to where you're comfortable.

i have the series before those not bad woofers i have enjoyed them, but im running them of a Cadence IA9 which is 2000 watts rms and after awhile of hard playing they start to stink and the amp is barely up. so no they cant really handle that kind of power for long periods of time. off an on yes.

Unintentionally enabling threadjacking...

But it depends on alot more than wattage, GS.

1) What kind of car and year? 80's Corollas can't keep up, but a new Tundra should be able to.

2) What is your listening style?

- light listening, with occasional blasting - not needed.

- pounding the pavement everywhere you go - needed

- competition, tailgating, etc. - needed

3) Other upgrades to the electrical - # and size of batteries and wiring

Go see a local shop if there is any doubt, though. Batteries are expensive to replace every 6 months...

1)I have a 95 GS300 im not sure if thats good enough lol

2)as far as listening sytle, its definently light listening with the occasional blasting.

3) as far as wiring, i would upgrade the current wiring to 0 guage wires, no upgrade to baterry as of yet. is that something you recommend?

Thanks

People usually shout Type-R and SX when thinking of top p4p woofer, but I say these. I had some and they were nasty. My friend had 4 in his Expedition and they dropped a low from hell. They can take good power and sound good doing it.
