Ok he asked this first about my 9.1

]

Allpurposesoap.

this amp is mono block correct?

why does it have two + and two - outputs?

first ive seen a ED amp before, so I thought I would ask

I have a dual 4ohm sub and would like to run that amp at 1 ohm but if its mono block I wouldnt be able to

unless that dual output has anything to do with that.

thanks for the time and education on the amp.

at 225 shipped nobodys bought it yet?

No ur way off dude. The only way a amp will see 1 ohm is if u have a dual 2 ohm sub.
ok how bout this.

so, if I ownd a SINGLE coil 2 ohm sub. and ran it to my 2-channel amp bridged mono ... your saying that it would still be just 2ohm?

2channel amps bridged mono will see half the load you give them. If I give a 2ohm load, it will be half. Seriously,.... you can surely google that and find many sources that reflect this answer.

Mind if we go back to my first question to you?

question to you was about why the dual outputs on your amp if its mono? why does it have two pos's and two neg's?

Im assuming for different wiring configurations?
To hook up multiple subs. If u have a single 2 ohm sub......... the only possible wiring combination ur amp can see is...... 2 ohms. Think about it man.
i dunno what to tell him

i honestley dont get his logic. Hes saying something about a 2 channel amp bridged ran to a 2 ohm sub running at 1 ohm?

buddy, your confusing 2 channel amps and mono ampsif you have a single 2ohm sub BRIDGED to a 2channel amp.. it will be 1ohm. serious. your putting 2 ohms spilt between 2 channels, the load is HALF at the amp.

Now, a mono block amp, you cant do this.. and your right, a 2 ohm load is a 2 ohm load.

how many subs were you running with this amp? and what was the ohm rating at the amp?
redic

wow, you made a topic about this to bash me???

I told you, you were confusing 2 channel amps BRIDGED

VS.

mono block amp

bridging a 2 channel amp drops the impedance.

is that not correct? please show me where Im wrong.

**** all I really wanted to know was this was the first mono block amp that I had seen that had dual outputs and I was confused. thats all. lol

im not bashing u. I just dont know wtf else to tell u. Ur trying to convince me im wrong. why would bridging change the imdepence of the subwoofer?

And im not confusing anything. Ur just completley off .

Bridging a 2 channel amp does nothing to the impedance. It only doubles the power. The voice coil configuration at the sub determines the impedance. If a 2 channel amp is bridged, it can only accept a 4 or 8 ohm voice coil configuration. A mono amp can accept 2,4,8 ohm and if its stable, 1 ohm. All voice coil configurations are done at the sub.

excatley. if you have a single 2 ohm sub. The only impedence u can get is 2 ohm........ thats it end of story. End it. Nothing u can do except maybe blow the sub will drop the impd
