I have one 10" fosgate sub(200 rms 4 ohm). i was just going to get coaxial speakers until i started reading here. Since i am not wanting to spend too much i would like to try the Phoenix Gold RSD 6.5" comps based on lots of reviews i read here. I was wondering if it is ok to get a 4 channel amp and bridge the sub on 2 channels and run each of the components off the other 2 channels. Anything special i should know? If it is ok can anyone recommend a good cheap amp that would do the job somewhere in the $100 range give or take. I dont want to have to wire up 2 amps if i dont need to.

It'll be fine as long as the wired load of the subwoofer is within the amp's limits. But, most likely it'll be fine. If you've only got one 10" there's no special wiring going on. Just get an amp that will do 200x1 @ 4 ohms when 2 channels are bridged. If the bridged power does more than what you want, use the gain on the amp. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Should be fine, nothing else is needed. Most 4 channel amps are setup to be able to do this. A good 50x4 or 75x4 should be exactly what your looking for. Profile makes some cheaper amps that work pretty good and might be around that price range if not a lil bit more.
