can i somehow hook up an amp to power two 12s or 10s in my room? i was thinking if it would be possible to use the dvd player i have as a head unit. would i have to have a 12v converter so i dont pump 115 into my amp or?
A normal home amp will be much cheaper than the power supply to run a decent car amp. Also much less complicated to hook up. Plate amp from Parts Express will give you 300W for $150 and 1000W for $330. Cheaper than the power supply for a 12V amp by far. It also has signal sensing turn on so you don't have to worry about wiring a remote on the the car amp with a switch.
hmm, you guys remember or did you even see the movie "Ghost Dog - Way Of The Samurai" when Forest Whitaker has that stereo in his room? it's a Pioneer I think, and he has car speakers, ive always wanted to have that in my room, I have a home system already but just for shits and giggles and to use some unused gear. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
