This might be a ridiculous idea, but I'm interested to see if it is an option for me. My front speakers in my car are MB Quart P-series 5.25" components. I'm running these speakers off of a Crossfire VR302. The amp specs are as follows:
75 x 2 @ 4ohms
150 x 2 @ 2ohms
300 x 2 bridged @ 4ohms
Right now I'm running them simply + and - on each channel straight to the crossovers, so there at 75 watts a piece. Is there any way to wire them differently so I could get more power out of them? Would this be safe? Would it decrease sound quality if I did it another way? I'm leaning toward NO, but wanted some more knowledgable opinions. Thanks.
