One of my friends was impressed with my last box build so he asked me to build him a system. He drives a 97 Saturn 4 door. I just want to run my choices for his deck, amp, and sub by you guys before he buys them...

Looks great! I'd go through and build a slightly different setup with the money, but then I don't know who's getting the system. Keep the RE, and call it good.

if ur willing to spend $285 on the L7, u can step up on the re can't ya?

but if ur going for all out loud, u can't beat an L7..

the mtx and panasonic are both excellent choices....

The SE is dual 4 ohm VCs, the SX is dual two. He's probably trying to get a 2 ohm load on the amp for full output.

The friend that I am putting this system together for knows nothing about car audio and I am sure he would be very impressed with the bling of the L7. I don’t want too go that route though. I really want too set him up with an SE because I don’t think anyone has RE stuff up here and I really want too use an RE product... So, will a 12" SE 2cuft @ 35hz have the output of a 12" L7 2cuft @ 30hz?

honestly, i don't think so. there isn't enough tuning difference to make up for cone area. but to be honest, i 'm not for sure that the l7 will be so much louder as to notice it anyway. possible, but i don't believe so. louder on the mic, absolutely..to the ear, i don't know.

get the re sub, tune it low and enjoy it. if that's what ur after, u won't be happy with anything else anyway...lol

i think the SX would sound much nicer than the L7.

why not an IA Lethal Injection or a Soundsplinter RL-p?
