SO as of right now i have a stock alt. and battery in an 02 Ford ranger edge. I plan on doing the "Big 3." with that said i am going to have a run of 4awg wire fused at 100a to the back for a fusion 2000.1 amp. will this be ok? and will i have The possibilities to add a second 4 ch. amp without blowing the fuse on the 4awg wire?

thx

100a isnt enough, get a bigger fuse. 250-300 if you want to play it safe and possibly add another amp. second, stock alt doesnt mean shit, some stock alts are 50a, some new ones are 200a. Even if you did know what alt you had no one would be able to give you a positive answer. I ran my fosgate power 1000 25 to Life which everyone said i needed all kind of upgrades. I ran it 100% stock at 13.9 with no drops or anything. So if someone tries to give you a definite answer they are full of shit. Get a 250a fuse or better and try it out, thats the only way youre going to know

0 guage. and 200 should be plenty on the fuse. you do want it to blow if it needs to. 250 is too big for that system, even with a 4 channel added in.
You want it to blow in the event of a short circuit, because of this you use a fuse for the amperage rating of the wire being used. 0/1 ga would be 300-350 amps. If there's a problem with the amp then the fuse at the amp will blow, providing your using one.

might be a little small, but here's a chart for the correct wire size to run.
