Can i fit a 15L7??

ok i can fit a 16x16x35 inch box in my 92 buick regal... which is 4 cubes, but is 16 inch high enough for a 15 l7 ? which has a mounting diameter of 14 1/16 inches????

Is this going to be a sealed box? If its sealed, I say yes. If its ported, I would say you might want a 12L7

its gonna be ported, i think a 15l7 would be louder in 4 ft then a 12l7, what do u guys think??? but is 16 inchs tall enough /????

4 cubic feet before displacement is not enough room for that beast to breath, IMO. The 12 would be loud as shit, and would shine in a box around that size.

But yes, if you must do it, then you can fit the 15 in that box... But I am not reccomending it.

If designed correctly, the 12 might out do the 15, with that amount of space. For a 15, I would go for no less than 4.5 cubes or more before displacement.

Well, you could choke the 15 and it might bottom out... What is kickers reccomend ported box size for the 15?

I suppose it would perform, your question has been answered (you can fit it.) But I, personally, would like a bit more room for a 15. As long as you do not buy a cheap prefab box, and build/buy one designed for your sub, then it should still sound pretty good (get loud.)

I would still take the 12, I like to have a lot of breathing room...

id say go with a 12. definitely. 3.something cubes before displacement (if using a ported box) will get u NOTHING with the port area needed for the 15. a 15 in that box sealed could work mediocre but i would personally rather go with the 12. ported youll get a good amount of space, and sealed it'd be great too...

...also, if youre getting an L7, its a waste not to port it...ive done both with both 12's and 15's. day and night difference. youll want a ported box..so 12L7 it is
