Looking for 1000-1200w @ 1 ohm, found this discontinued Diamond D5 1200.1 http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_7917_--+CLOSEOUT--+--+Diamond+Audio+D5+1200.1.html

This has been discontinued a few years, so wondering if I should go with this old school amp or something else with new technology? Any recommendations? Budget ~ $300.

Yea, I dont know what the US prices are, but I would recommend saving a little more and buying a Sundown. From experience I can tell you that you will not be disappointed.

soundsteam has some good amps that should be in that price range.

For that price range, a Crossfire XP1000D is the best amp you can get. 1000 watts rms

Id use a eD 9.1 to replace that 1200.1 D5 amp or buy the newer D61500.1 amp which will make way way over the rated numbers
