hi guys. well i picked up a set of these:

fairly cheap, 50$, and i decide to test 'em out. now they have the tweeter mounted right on the 6.5 itself, and the set includes small xovers. my question is, can i run the tweets on SEPERATE channels than the mids if i have a 4-channel amp, and WITHOUT the xovers ??but then again, i'm not sure of the Ohm loads are.

i never did this before, so is this what you are to do to achieve an ACTIVE set-up? is this one advantage, since u can put more power to the tweets/6.5's seperately??

any advice would be so helpful. thx

Because you basically have a coaxil speaker. I don't know the specifics of the drivers so I do not know the ohm loads. My infinity's needed the xover to properly function.

Active is more for independant speakers Midbass/Mids/Tweets. Or even some comp sets.

You would need to know the actual ohm rating of each one. And you still will not be able to send more power to the tweeter. The RMS will remain the same.
