Can i bridge AND wire a 2 chanell amp for 2 ohm?

not to confuse you, but to try and improve your understanding...

edit: and bridging is very simple

oh i see. so if its a dual at 2 ohms, that equals 4 ohms. Tricky. im glad i got that cleared up before buying an amp. so i guess i can buy a 2 channel and bridge it and leave it at 4 ohms. Will there be a difference in power or sound quality between a 2 channel bridge or a mono amp to my sub? how complicated is it to bridge an amp, its simple is it not?
you will not hear the difference either way, assuming equal rms wattage

OK thanks so much for that pic, and the info. you guys definitely saved me. I hate it when people on here hate on the noobs lol. Thats why ive never gotten into this stuff, its hard to find someone to teach you. Im starting to understand though.

ok LAST question I promise. i'm trying to decide between these two, as long as the 2-channel is bridgeable, but i cant figure out if it is or not. heres links to both. what ya think?

2-channel 1200 watts max

mono amp 500 rms 850 max

sounds good. your my man. Hey do you know any links providing step-by-steps or info or guides on building a sub box? My friends dad has a wood shop so we decided well make a project out of it for spring break. Ill need a 4 gauge amp kit correct? what gauge wire should go from my sub to the box.

Yeah I'd trust a 200w rms scoche amp over those. You should up your budget a bit and try to find something in classifieds here or get a refurb name brand amp.

So i guess i can buy a 2 channel and bridge it and leave it at 4 ohms. Will there be a difference in power or sound quality between a 2 channel bridge or a mono amp to my sub?
Yes, that is exactly what I am asking myself right now, whithout having an answer of course! So are there any pros and cons with going with a bridged 2-channel amp. visavi the conventional mono block? And no, you do not have to choose a crappy amp just because you want to use a 2-channel amp, they just tend to be so much cheaper than the mono blocks, especially if you want to run at 4 ohms with over 1000W RMS (my experience).
