can door speakers be left so that they are visible?

i have a 2003 audi a4 (no bose) and i am installing (tomorrow) two sets of pioneer ts-160r components speaker sets (all 4 doors). is there a way of not putting the grill/screens back on so that the rather aesthetically pleasing speakers are visible? is it wise? does it affect sound quality?

this is my first aftermarket anything, so be gentle if this is the kind of question a 3rd grader should know.

Having the grills off wont detract from the sound.

The biggest downfall I can see would come from a clumsy passenger.

The only way not to put the speaker covers back on, it if they arent built into the door..I have an 06 charger, and they are built in..

if the grills come off then no you would not have to put them back on, but remember the more that is seen the more "other" people might want it more than you. It will make no difference in sound quality, the biggest issue i can see is if it will look good without factory grills. Most of the times factory grills hide more than just the speakers. Most factory locations do not look that good.

most likely no. that would need to be a custom grill made for you particular application. Meaning a complete rebuild of the door panel for what you are looking for.
