you need an oscope too. A lot of dirty power does not mean much and clamps need an oscope reading to be accurate. You can also try to see what kind of power a soft clip can provide too just for sh*ts and giggles.I'll probably put mine on the meter tonight with the AQ and compare it the numbers from when I had the BRX. That'll be the true way of finding out. Both were tuned with a DD1 on the same track.
I am still in agreement with everyone else. You must (likely) be doing something wrong. Electrical isn't up to par perhaps?I only gained a few tenths on the meter, tones and on music. I'm sure the power is cleaner no doubt. The AQ is definitely a better amp but at least in my application I feel the power difference and sound isn't far off the BRX.

Which leads me to my question for the OP... Do you have the electrical for 2k+? But SoundQubed, Crescendo, Ampere Audio, among a few others would likely have something close to your budget, not sure on overseas shipping.
My electrical is up to par. I never dip below 14v with the BRX or the AQ. I know the BRX has been benched at 2000 @ 1ohm at 14v from more than one source so I can't see an extra 200 watts being that much of a difference. Which the meter backs that up.I am still in agreement with everyone else. You must (likely) be doing something wrong. Electrical isn't up to par perhaps?

Something is wrong or you just may not know what the aq2200 is capable of. It's a 2500rms amp all day long especially at a solid 14v hell it may actually be more than that. So it's def not a "200" watt difference between the 2 amps. Just bc the aq2200 is "2200" for a model it's much better than that. I had a sundown saz2500v1 and I clamped 2900rms at 13.5v so almost 3k but the amp model is "saz2500". My Ampere audio aa2000.1 I'm getting 2500rms at 13v wired at 1ohm....pretty impressive. Don't read into the numbers put with the amp model especially with higher end stuff. They can most of the time do much better than advertised with solid electrical. My electrical is up to par. LOL I member when AQ first started ohhh yall do member that the 2200 yall praise was selling in the low $300 range BNIB from company right??? Seeing they have changed nothing other then the badge on the case seems like they caught a lot of yall slipping...When did SQ become high end? Is good but not even close to high end
Never said "it's a high end amp" just insinuating that it's def up to par with some higher end stuff. Need to read all of the caption, not just pick a few words out. They are beast amps and quality no different than Crescendo, Sundown, etc. I'm not saying by all means that it's a high end sq amp or anything like that. When did SQ become high end? Is good but not even close to high end
Bc2000 was the same way. I think I paid $289 shippedLOL I member when AQ first started ohhh yall do member that the 2200 yall praise was selling in the low $300 range BNIB from company right??? Yea I've seen the quality go south since they first came out for sure too. I had 2 bc2k's from the very first batch of amps released and they were great in fact still to this day my buddy is running it at .5ohm. It's whole life it's been at .5ohm 3years+ now lolCrescendo don't really have the best quality. They are very vibration prone
