At the moment he has a sony amp running it all. Not sure what model. I was discussing with him why he shouldn't run different sub sizes after I saw his car's profile on JL's "custom install" section of their website. I decided to message him and tell him he should change it to all one size.

He says hes going to run one 1000/1 on the 13w6 and another 1000/1 on the 4 10w6's

what i dont get is how are you gonna throw 1000 rms to a sub that recomends 500rms? i kno the sub can take it but the next quetstion i would have is why are you underpowering the 4 10's then? they are recomended at 400rms each????

i dont really get it you are gonna overpower the 13 and then underpower the 10's? maybe you can give me some reason for this.

no, not 2 channels.... 2 mono amps so i can tune the frequencies separate and have enough power

if you know much about jl amps u know that they put out about 185% of what they are rated for so that will be somewhere around 1600-1800 wats between the 4 10's and the big big sub will be set to a smaller gain to keep the punchy sound that you get from the 10's at all levels
